We are seeking a Backend Developer with strong expertise in Java (21+), Spring Boot, and Quarkus to build and optimize high-performance, scalable, and secure backend services. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Keycloak (IAM), databases (SQL/NoSQL), troubleshooting, and performance optimization in distributed microservices environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using Spring Boot and Quarkus.
- Integrate and manage Keycloak for authentication, authorization, and RBAC.
- Design, optimize, and query SQL/NoSQL databases efficiently.
- Implement secure, stateless APIs with JWT-based authentication.
- Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production issues.
- Optimize application performance (DB tuning, caching, async processing, profiling).
- Collaborate with DevOps/SRE teams to ensure scalable deployment on Openshift.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with unit/integration tests.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong proficiency in Java 17+ (preferably 21).
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Quarkus.
- Solid understanding of Keycloak, OAuth2, OIDC, and JWT.
- Experience with RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra).
- Knowledge of microservices architecture, API gateways, and distributed systems.
- Proven skills in debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Strong understanding of performance optimization (DB indexes, JVM tuning, async, caching).
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Reactive Programming.
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures.
- Exposure to observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, APPD, OpenTelemetry).
- Prior work in high-throughput, low-latency enterprise applications.
