Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable microservices using core Java and Spring Boot for retail banking products, ensuring high reliability and performance.
- Develop secure and compliant service interfaces for account management, payments, and lending journeys.
- Optimize SQL-based data access patterns and database structures to guarantee fast response times and resilient transaction processing.
- Integrate microservices with AWS managed services to enhance scalability and simplify operations.
- Create intuitive JavaScript-based user components for seamless digital banking interactions.
- Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to translate banking needs into clear and maintainable technical designs.
- Establish coding standards and practices that enhance code quality and reduce production incidents.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for microservices on AWS for proactive issue detection.
- Refactor legacy banking modules into modular microservices to support faster feature delivery and simplify maintenance.
- Apply secure coding and data protection practices in line with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with DevOps teams to refine CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, and deployments.
- Document service designs and operational processes for effective team collaboration and support.
- Mentor junior engineers in microservices patterns and best practices in Java.
Qualifications:
- Extensive hands-on experience in microservices architecture using core Java and Spring Boot.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, including schema design and query optimization.
- Practical experience with AWS services for cloud-native Java applications.
- Solid JavaScript skills for building responsive front-end features that integrate with backend microservices.
- In-depth knowledge of retail banking products, including deposits, payments, and lending journeys.
- Effective in a hybrid work model, utilizing modern collaboration tools.
- Over thirteen years of software development experience with a focus on problem-solving and production stability.
Certifications Preferred:
- AWS Certified Developer Associate
- Oracle Certified Professional Java Programmer
