Job Accountabilities
- Maintain good engineering practices and compliance with Technical Orders in all aspects of the Jet Engine work area, including aircraft and component maintenance.
- Perform component maintenance which includes inspecting, surveying, evaluating, installing, repairing, maintaining, troubleshooting, servicing, overhauling, modifying, and testing off aircraft systems components while undergoing On-the-Job Training (OJT) to gain levels of certification for own work.
- Install, repair, service, modify, and test aircraft systems on aircraft.
- Ensure work is carried out in accordance with the standards and procedures detailed within the Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE).
- Ensure strict tool control is maintained in accordance with tool control procedures.
- Manage spare parts requirements using the GOLDesp logistics system.
- Provide functional guidance to the National Training and Development Programs (SNTTP) regarding any engineering issues that may arise.
- Carry out Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs) and Special inspections when directed.
- Develop assigned SNTTP trainees.
Recruitment Specification
Essential
- A recognized qualification to NVQ/ONC/OND/BTEC Level 3 in the relevant technical discipline, a technical apprenticeship, or an equivalent technical qualification acceptable to M&CA.
- Substantial post-qualification practical maintenance experience within an operational flying aircraft environment supported by recorded workplace applied training, consistent experience on the same aircraft type, or successful completion of a apprenticeship program (SNTTP/TSNTTP).
- Relevant type training (Q Course) and specific training if required.
- Knowledge and understanding of aircraft maintenance and engineering.
- Understanding and application of human factors, error management, health and safety, and proactive hazard analysis appropriate to the role.
- Must obtain membership at the appropriate level prior to starting in this role in KSA, and maintain membership throughout employment.
Desirable
- Broad aerospace and defence company/industry knowledge.
- Understanding of engineering operating procedures.
- Ability to work in close harmony with a mixed expatriate/National workforce.
- Must be HF trained.
- Hold a current driving license.
