JR AUTOMATION ENGINEER

About the Role As a Junior Automation Engineer, you will support the design, programming, and maintenance of automated control systems across our fleet. The role involves assisting senior engineers with PLC programming, testing, troubleshooting, and integration of automation components. You will also contribute to documentation, training, and continuous improvement initiatives while developing practical technical skills in a dynamic operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and developing automated systems under senior supervision.
• Support PLC programming, configuration, and basic automation tasks.
• Participate in integration of sensors, actuators, and control components.
• Conduct testing and validation of automation systems and record results.
• Help troubleshoot and resolve automation system issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation for designs, tests, and modifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to process improvements.
• Adhere to company safety and compliance standards.
• Support training of operators and maintenance staff on automation systems.
• Engage in continuous learning to enhance technical and professional skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering or Software Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in automation or control systems.
• Basic knowledge of PLC programming and industrial automation components.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office and basic engineering software tools.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Physically fit and able to meet offshore medical requirements (SEHA/ADMA).
