Junior Configuration Officer

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Junior Configuration Officer for the company supports the project teams on their configuration requirements, prepares configuration documents, maintains a high level of data quality, integrity and security of the Data Management Systems (DMS) and controls, organizes and distributes all company documents.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support project teams in configuration management activities, including product item configuration, baselining, and change control processes.
• Maintain the Configuration Management database, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, security, and compliance with company procedures.
• Manage document control activities, including the distribution of controlled documents, maintenance of PDI/DDI records, and preparation of data packs.
• Conduct configuration audits and reporting to verify data completeness, monitor configuration status, and support CM governance and compliance.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Configuration Management and/or Document Control in a Junior Officer, Configuration Assistant, or similar role.
• Minimum High School Diploma with a technical qualification such as a National Technical N-Diploma (N4-N6); a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering is preferred.
• Experience in Aerospace, Defence, Engineering, or other highly regulated industries is preferred, with at least 2 years of Aerospace or Defence sector exposure being an advantage.
