Position

About the Role
This is a hybrid quasi-legal, compliance, and project management role. Reporting directly to senior legal management and working closely with Risk, Solution, and CISO teams, you will support the organization's various Know Your Business (KYB) processes on a day-to-day basis. You will oversee the checks on our merchants, ensuring that the onboarding process is fast, consistent, and audit-ready. This role is well-suited for someone with a background in payments, fintech, or iGaming who is highly organized, detail-driven, and keen to grow into a broader legal and compliance career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Merchant onboarding. Monitor and support KYB processes for merchant onboarding: collecting and verifying corporate documents, reviewing business models and websites, and taking files through to approval, conditional approval, or decline. Verify merchant ownership and control structures across jurisdictions, including directors and authorized signatories, and confirm that their identity documents are complete and current.
  • License obligations. Support the organization’s own license obligations, including record-keeping and regulatory checks.
  • PSA and PSP obligations. Map and track the KYB, onboarding, and monitoring requirements in the organization's payment services agreements (PSAs) and its PSP and acquirer agreements, ensuring that every merchant file meets them before submission and on an ongoing basis.
  • Third-party KYB provider management. Act as the day-to-day point of contact for the outsourced KYB provider: monitor its performance against agreed SLAs, quality-check its output, resolve issues, and escalate where needed.
  • Ongoing monitoring. Conduct periodic merchant reviews based on risk tier; re-screen merchants when their ownership, licenses, business model, or target markets change; and recommend restrictions or offboarding where risks cannot be adequately mitigated.
  • Policies and procedures. Assist in drafting, maintaining, and updating KYB procedures, checklists, and merchant risk-classification criteria in line with regulatory, acquirer, PSP, and card scheme requirements.
  • Reporting and process improvement. Maintain complete, audit-ready KYB records; report regularly to the CLO on onboarding volumes, turnaround times, pending cases, escalations, and provider performance; and leverage automation, AI tools, and workflow systems to enhance the speed and consistency of the process.
  • Legal support. Support the Legal team on ad hoc matters, such as internal policy verifications, simple agreements, and maintaining the contract database.

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years' experience in compliance, KYC/KYB, merchant onboarding, legal, or project management within a PSP, acquirer, payment orchestrator, fintech, or iGaming business (including iGaming compliance).
  • Degree in law, business, finance, or a related field.
  • Working understanding of KYB/KYC and AML/CFT principles, including UBO identification, sanctions, and PEP screening.
  • Experience working with or managing third-party vendors or outsourced service providers.
  • Highly organized and detail-driven, able to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills in English, with the confidence to interact with merchants, providers, and internal teams.
  • Comfortable using compliance screening tools, CRM or workflow systems, and AI tools in day-to-day work.

Nice-to-Have

  • A recognized compliance or AML certification (for example, ICA or CAMS).
  • Familiarity with UAE and EU AML/CFT requirements.
  • Knowledge of card scheme rules on merchant onboarding.
  • Experience reviewing iGaming operator licenses and the conditions attached to them.
  • Project management experience or certification.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary package aligned with experience and market standards.
  • Medical insurance starting from day one.
  • Access to training resources and development opportunities that support your professional growth.
  • Well-stocked office with snacks, drinks, and refreshments available daily.
  • A multinational organization that promotes a strong, collaborative culture.
  • Regular team-building events and company activities that strengthen collaboration across teams.
  • Employee Recognition Program celebrating our "Employee of the Month" with special perks.
