Core Responsibilities
1. Site Supervision & Execution
- Daily Oversight: Inspect site execution for HVAC upgrades, chiller plant retrofits, pump/cooling tower replacements, electrical panels, lighting, and plumbing systems.
- Technical Guidance: Verify that site teams and subcontractors follow approved shop drawings, method statements, and project specifications.
- Interference Resolution: Identify spatial and technical clashes on site between existing structural/civil constraints and new MEP retrofits, escalating critical issues to Senior Engineers.
2. Quality Assurance & Control (QA/QC)
- Inspection Management: Raise, track, and close Work Inspection Requests (WIR) and Material Inspection Requests (MIR).
- Defect Rectification: Issue site observation reports, maintain punch lists for non-conformities, and verify corrective actions.
- Material Verification: Confirm delivered MEP equipment and materials match approved submittals before site installation.
3. Energy Audit & Commissioning Support
- Pre-Commissioning Assistance: Assist Senior Engineers during pre-commissioning, testing, and commissioning (T&C) of retrofitted MEP plant and equipment.
- Data Collection: Gather operational baseline data (flow rates, electrical loads, temperature differentials) to support energy audit evaluations and efficiency verification.
4. Safety & Compliance
- HSE Enforcement: Support strict adherence to site safety guidelines, Permit-to-Work (PTW) protocols, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Hazard Audits: Participate in routine toolbox talks and identify site hazards specific to live brownfield/occupied building retrofits.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily work progress logs, manpower logs, and site activity reports.
- Assist in updating redline drawings and coordinate with drafting/BIM teams for accurate As-Built drawings and handover packages.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience in site supervision and quality control within MEP projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical installations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in technical documentation and reporting.
- Commitment to safety and compliance measures on active construction sites.
