As a Junior Product Designer, you won't be expected to know everything on day one. You will be expected to be curious, learn quickly, and gradually take more ownership. You'll work alongside experienced designers and get exposure to the full product design process, helping simplify complex and data-heavy products for our customers.
What You'll Do
- Turn problems into simple experiences. You'll take product requirements, research, and guidance from senior designers and turn them into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that make complex workflows easier for customers to understand and use.
- Learn to think beyond the screen. You'll build an understanding of why we're solving a problem, who we're solving it for, and what success looks like — rather than simply designing what you're asked to design.
- Work closely with Product and Engineering. You'll participate in discovery, planning, and refinement conversations, ask questions when something doesn't make sense, and learn how design decisions affect what gets built.
- Build your design craft. You'll apply strong fundamentals around hierarchy, layout, interaction, usability, and visual design while learning how to work within and contribute to the company's design system.
- Use feedback to get better. You'll actively participate in design critiques, learn to explain your decisions, and become comfortable receiving feedback without becoming attached to your first idea.
- Help us understand our users. You'll support research and usability testing, helping capture customer feedback, identify patterns, and turn what we learn into better design decisions.
- Design for our region. Where relevant, you'll consider Arabic and English experiences, RTL layouts, and the realities of designing products for customers across the region.
- Build confidence presenting your work. You'll increasingly be expected to walk Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders through your designs and explain the thinking behind them.
Requirements
- You're early in your product design career but serious about becoming great at it. You have around 1–2 years of relevant experience, although strong internships, academic work, or personal projects can also demonstrate the right foundation.
- You care about the problem, not just how the screen looks. You naturally ask questions like “Why are we doing this?”, “Who is this for?”, and “Is there a simpler way?”
- You're comfortable not knowing everything. When you don't understand something, you ask. When someone gives you feedback, you listen.
- You're receptive to feedback and act on it. You can take a design critique without taking it personally and are able to come back with a stronger solution.
- You communicate clearly. You can explain your design decisions in simple language and aren't afraid to speak up when you think something could work better.
- You're detail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture. You notice inconsistencies and small usability issues but understand that good design helps the customer achieve an outcome.
- You're collaborative. You enjoy working with Product Managers, Engineers, researchers, writers, and other designers.
- You have a solid foundation in Figma and UX fundamentals including information architecture, interaction design, usability, and visual hierarchy.
- You're comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You don't wait for someone to give you every step before making progress.
- You're a Saudi national. This position is designated for Saudi nationals.
