The Design for Excellence Lab at the company is seeking to recruit a Junior Research Scientist under the supervision of Dr. Ozgur Sinanoglu. The successful candidate will closely work with the faculty supervisor on hardware security projects. The ideal candidate will have an excellent knowledge of cybersecurity. Applicants must have a BSc or MSc in Computer Engineering or a related field.

Responsibilities Of The Position

• Conduct world-class research in hardware security.
• Analyze a research problem, design, implement, and test the solution.
• Write a research article; present the results at conferences, workshops, etc.
• Publish work in top-tier conferences and journals.
• Work closely with collaborators (such as government entities and companies) to deliver groundbreaking results.

Essential Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering with expertise in hardware security.
• Excellent analytic, design, and coding skills.
• Familiarity with a programming language such as MATLAB, Python, C, etc., and/or hardware description language such as VHDL or Verilog.
• Excellent communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Willingness to take initiative.

A Junior Research Scientist is typically a graduate with a Master’s degree and less than five years of research experience in the relevant field, or a Bachelor's degree with any level of experience.
