The group studies the security of artificial intelligence (AI) and the application of AI to cybersecurity. We welcome applicants working in one or more of the following areas: AI security; trustworthy machine learning and interpretability; or applying AI to software security, vulnerability detection, and other cybersecurity domains.
Successful candidates will develop and evaluate methods in these research areas, implement experiments, analyze results, and contribute to publications. Junior Research Scientists will carry out research objectives defined with the principal investigator.
Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate methods in AI and cybersecurity research areas.
- Implement experiments and analyze results.
- Contribute to publication efforts.
- Collaborate with the principal investigator to define and achieve research objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree with less than 5 years of experience is preferred.
- Research experience in at least one of the areas mentioned: AI security; trustworthy machine learning; interpretability; software security; vulnerability detection.
- Strong programming and experimental skills.
- Clear written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and/or security analysis tools is desirable.
- Publications and well-documented research software are welcome evidence of research ability.
