Tiramisu distinguishes itself by generating fast code that can outperform that written by expert programmers, all while targeting a range of hardware including multicore CPUs, GPUs, FPGAs, and distributed machines.
The project aims to support automatic code optimization within Tiramisu, leveraging machine learning and deep learning techniques. Currently, there is a basic automatic optimization module, and the objective is to evolve this into a comprehensive compiler pass that intelligently selects optimizations for unoptimized programs. The intent is to provide an effective tool for Tiramisu users, particularly for partner companies and research labs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance automatic optimization techniques within the Tiramisu framework utilizing machine learning.
- Implement and test compiler passes that enable the selection of optimization strategies based on program characteristics.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize the performance of deep learning applications across various hardware architectures.
- Document findings, methodologies, and contribute to research publications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science is necessary, with a master’s degree preferred.
- Experience or internships in the fields of compilers and artificial intelligence are beneficial.
- Strong programming skills and familiarity with machine learning concepts are essential.
