We are seeking a Junior Developer with experience in Python and/or Go to join our Observability team. In this role, you will help develop a cloud-native monitoring stack that integrates best-in-class open-source monitoring tools. This stack is designed to be resilient, scalable, and provide extensive insights. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Collaborating proactively with a distributed global team - Writing, testing, and documenting high-quality code for new features - Debugging issues and interacting with a vibrant community - Reviewing code produced by other engineers - Attending conferences to represent the company and the Charmed Observability Stack. This role focuses on monitoring applications across various cloud technologies such as Kubernetes and OpenStack, as well as on bare-metal, virtual machines, and containers. What We Are Looking For: - Passion for technology and collaboration with talented individuals - Strong soft skills and a self-motivated attitude - A Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Computer Science, STEM, or a similar field - Proficient in Python, with an open source track record preferred, and a working knowledge of Go - Interest in two or more of the following: Ubuntu Linux, container images, Debian packaging, snap, distributed systems.
