The Multipass team is seeking a Software Engineer to join our distributed team, where quality code and user experience are highly valued.

Multipass supports macOS, Windows, and Linux, designed to provide developers with a local cloud setup on their workstations. You will play a leadership role in designing, mentoring, reviewing, and coding.

Location: Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia (Remote)
Job Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Multipass is easy and intuitive to use
  • Architect new features and design user experience
  • Write high-quality code, create new features, and fix bugs
  • Review code and architecture as part of the engineering process
  • Collaborate proactively with a distributed team
  • Debug, track, and resolve issues encountered by users
  • Foster the open-source community and support customers as needed
  • Travel internationally for up to two weeks, twice a year, for company events

Requirements:

  • Cross-platform development experience on macOS and/or Windows
  • Expertise in modern C++ development
  • Experience with software testing and test-driven development
  • High standards for code quality, testing, and design
  • Knowledge of hypervisor technologies such as Hyper-V, VirtualBox, KVM, and QEMU
  • Open source experience and involvement
  • Familiarity with CI systems is a plus
  • Quick learner of new systems and techniques
  • Excellent communication skills in English (both verbal and written)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM, or a similar field
