The Junior Testing Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all testing processes for panels, as well as maintaining the quality of the output panels. Responsibilities include:
- Understanding the IEC-61439 & IEC-60529 standards related to switchgear.
- Producing documentation associated with panel testing in detail.
- Utilizing test equipment such as dielectric testers, multi-meters, and IR testers.
- Maintaining safe working practices and adhering to quality control and safety procedures.
- Traveling to sites to diagnose and resolve issues with panels.
- Building strong customer relationships and confidently demonstrating testing in the presence of end customers.
- Accurately reading and interpreting electrical drawings and instructions from supervisors and team members.
- Performing testing and inspection on finished switchgear panels at both shop floor and customer premises according to approved standards and customer requirements.
- Conducting Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests in the presence of customers.
- Actively improving quality control processes and test procedures through feedback to the supervisor.
- Providing high levels of customer service to both internal and external clients.
- Effectively managing priorities and working flexibly to meet tight deadlines.
- Working independently as well as part of a team with strong problem-solving skills.
- Communicating effectively at all levels.
