Key Account Manager

About the Role
In this position, you will engage in technical sales, focusing on both new and existing clients within the processed food and dairy sectors. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of sales activities aimed at promoting products and strengthening client relationships through exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Make technical sales calls to new and existing clients.
• Respond to sales inquiries and concerns via phone, electronically, or in person.
• Schedule sales activities and prepare sales action plans and strategies.
• Develop technical sales proposals and prepare sales contracts for presentation.
• Monitor and report on sales activities, following up for management.
• Maintain sales activity records and prepare sales reports.
• Ensure customer service satisfaction, fostering good client relationships, and following up on sales activity.
• Monitor competitors, market conditions, and product development by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends, while also identifying sales opportunities.
• Update job knowledge by studying new product descriptions and selling techniques; participate in educational opportunities.
• Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; solicit new accounts; build rapport; provide technical information and explanations; prepare quotations.
• Accomplish department and organization goals by taking ownership of new and different requests, and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Maintain and improve quality results by following standards; recommend improved policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Bachelor’s degree in Science (Chemistry division).
• Relevant experience: 3-5 years in the food and beverage industry.
