Position

In accordance with UAE and international Anti-Money Laundering Requirements, banks such as the company are obliged to perform Know-Your-Client ('KYC') reviews on all new clients they adopt and periodic reviews of these clients. The KYC Review & Approval function is centralized to perform the client onboarding "approval" role, ensuring that documentary evidence meets internal guidelines and regulatory expectations while enforcing adherence to Group KYC standards.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage approval process for New to Bank Client Onboarding Process along with Periodic & Trigger Reviews in liaison with all stakeholders. Ensure all clients are onboarded within the onboarding timelines agreed. Main stakeholders include Clients, Coverage Bankers, KYC Operations Team, Compliance, and Offshore Support Team.
  • Experience in risk management and proven ability to support the development of business activities while robustly applying risk management disciplines and controls.
  • Previous experience of developing relationships by communicating, influencing, and negotiating effectively with business heads, senior managers, and technical experts across departments.
  • Review account opening forms for all new business where applicable and ensure adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and external regulatory requirements at all times.
  • Conduct post facto transaction analysis for correspondent banks on an annual basis and flag any nested payments to Compliance & Coverage Bankers.
  • Develop and manage relationships with CIB stakeholders across business lines and provide strong support and communication to facilitate efficient client onboarding and offboarding.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in management, banking, or finance.
  • Certification in compliance, KYC/AML/CFT, financial crime, or risk management is preferred.

Minimum Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a reputable international bank within an onboarding, KYC, or compliance function.
  • Familiarity with AML/KYC regulations and industry guidelines, along with understanding corporate KYC requirements.
  • Experienced with operating in a global regulatory environment and strong Microsoft application knowledge.
