L2 Data and Endpoint Security Engineer

As an L2 Data and Endpoint Security Engineer at DXC Technology, you will be responsible for operational support and maintenance of data and endpoint security systems. Your key responsibilities will include monitoring the health and performance of security systems, responding promptly to alerts, and troubleshooting incidents. You will assist with configuration changes and regular maintenance of security technologies, maintaining accurate documentation of system configurations and incident logs. Additionally, you will diagnose common technical issues related to security systems, escalate complex problems to L3 engineers with thorough documentation, and participate in incident response activities while documenting incident details and providing periodic reports on system performance and trends. Collaboration with IT, security, and support teams will be essential for operational stability and rapid issue resolution, wherein you will provide regular status updates and process improvement suggestions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in operational support for security solutions, with knowledge of data and endpoint security technologies.
• Familiarity with data security technologies such as DLP/NDLP, DRM, Database Activity Monitoring, Data Masking & Encryption, Data Classification, File Integrity Monitoring, Watermark Solutions, and Removable Media Protection. For endpoint security, experience with Antivirus & Sandboxing, Endpoint Detection and Response, and NextThink is advantageous.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desired Skills & Certifications:

• Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA Security, or vendor-specific credentials are preferred.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and incident management best practices.
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
• A proactive approach to learning and adapting to new security technologies.
