Key responsibilities include:
- Operational Support & Monitoring: Monitor the health and performance of security systems to ensure high availability and effectiveness, responding promptly to security alerts and performing initial troubleshooting on incidents.
- Routine Configuration & Maintenance: Assist with configuration changes, updates, and regular maintenance of supported security technologies while maintaining accurate documentation of system configurations and incident logs.
- Issue Diagnosis & Escalation: Diagnose and resolve common technical issues related to security systems, escalating complex issues to the L3 engineer with thorough documentation.
- Incident Management & Reporting: Assist in incident response activities and document incident details for post-incident reviews, providing periodic reports on system performance and incident trends.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with IT, security, and support teams to ensure operational stability and rapid issue resolution, providing status updates and collaborating on process improvements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in operational support for security solutions, with exposure to data and endpoint security technologies.
- Familiarity with data security technologies such as DLP/NDLP, DRM, Database Activity Monitoring, Data Masking & Encryption, and more.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desired Skills & Certifications:
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA Security, or vendor-specific credentials are preferred.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and incident management best practices.
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
- Proactive approach to learning and adapting to new security technologies and practices.
