Position

Parsons Corporation is seeking an exceptionally talented Laboratory Database Manager to join our team. In this role, you will perform a variety of environmental analytical data management and validation tasks by applying analytical chemistry, database management, and related software development techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with a team of experienced scientists and project staff.
  • Create and maintain analytical chemistry databases using best practice techniques.
  • Prepare data tables, data quality summary reports, and project planning documents.
  • Review laboratory electronic data deliverables and coordinate with laboratories to meet electronic data requirements.
  • Perform data management tasks using Microsoft Access, SQL, FUDSChem, ADR, NIRIS, ERPIMS, EQuIS, and proprietary databases.
  • Write new software as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with database management and good practice techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Access, SQL, and Excel.
  • Ability to code using VBA.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with FUDSChem, AFCEC, NIRIS, LOCUS EIM, and EQuIS databases, including electronic data formats and data submission procedures.
  • Knowledge of organic and inorganic laboratory methodology, including commercial analytical laboratory data and QA/QC requirements.
  • Familiarity with environmental sampling techniques, EPA and SW-846 methodology, and DoD QSM.

Language Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills in English (specific language requirements are not mentioned).
