Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise laboratory personnel, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes professional growth and high-performance team dynamics.
- Oversee the execution of scientific analyses, ensuring all testing protocols adhere to strict validation standards and measurement uncertainty requirements.
- Lead decision-making processes regarding complex technical challenges and operational bottlenecks to ensure seamless laboratory functionality.
- Manage the Laboratory Quality Management System (LQMS), ensuring full compliance with ISO standards and leading the closure of any identified nonconformities.
- Conduct and facilitate internal and external ISO audits, preparing comprehensive documentation and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Validate and optimize testing methodologies to maintain the integrity of results across all gemological procedures.
- Execute precise grading and testing for diamonds and colored stones, guaranteeing accuracy in every assessment.
- Monitor overall laboratory performance metrics and implement strategies to enhance productivity and quality outcomes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in laboratory management or a related scientific field.
- Proven expertise in team leadership, including the ability to manage diverse teams and drive operational excellence.
- Strong background in scientific analysis, with specific proficiency in gemstone grading and the testing of diamonds and colored stones.
- Deep understanding of Laboratory Quality Management Systems, including the ability to navigate ISO audit processes and resolve nonconformities effectively.
- Demonstrated capability in decision-making and problem-solving within high-pressure technical environments.
- Knowledge of testing method validation, measurement uncertainty, and the technical nuances of gemology.
- Compensation package is competitive, ranging from ₹30 Lakhs Per Annum and above, commensurate with experience and expertise.
