Key Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory testing on soil, rock, and construction materials in accordance with approved standards and procedures.
- Prepare test samples and specimens, ensuring proper handling, identification, and storage.
- Operate and maintain valid calibration of laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy, precision, and reliability of test results.
- Follow safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment.
- Support senior technicians and the Laboratory Manager in specialized testing and reporting.
- Participate in technical training and continuous professional development programs to build technical skills.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Laboratory Technology, Civil Engineering, Geology, Geosciences, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Familiarity with testing standards and methodologies, such as BS, ASTM, ISO, BS EN, and ISRM.
- Computer literate, with basic knowledge of laboratory equipment operation and troubleshooting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
