Key responsibilities include designing and implementing high-performing and secure systems that accommodate evolving business needs. The Lead Architect balances immediate project requirements with long-term scalability, ensuring teams can build robust, scalable systems adaptable to changing environments. This position involves working on both front-end and back-end Wealth domain technologies and reporting to two matrix managers—one in Digital Products and one in Business Platforms.
Core Objectives:
- Deliver complete and self-sufficient solutions or design documents within agreed timelines.
- Improve architecture design workflows, potentially through automation.
- Contribute to building Reliable, Resilient & Secure (RRS) Platforms.
- Conduct educational workshops for Chapter & Tribe members.
- Coach, mentor, and upskill architects to foster Unified Architects.
- Create or review solutions that adhere to reusable blueprints/reference architecture.
- Invest in personal and professional skill improvement, including learning about Artificial Intelligence technologies (e.g., Generative AI, AI Assistants).
Skills & Requirements:
- Strong experience in banking, accounting, payments, or settlements; exposure to the wealth domain (capital markets, funds, ETFs, or equities) preferred.
- 5+ years of experience designing apps, microservices, and APIs, with participation in at least 3 projects.
- Experience with end-to-end design patterns and integrating ecosystems with various technologies (e.g., mobile apps, micro-services, cloud-native technologies).
- Strong understanding of architectural patterns like micro-services and mobile app development.
- Ability to build solutions focused on scalability, reliability, security, and user experience.
- Familiarity with cyber and information security controls in product design.
- Proficient with enterprise architecture tools (e.g., Enterprise Architect) and data modeling tools.
- Behavioral competencies include strong stakeholder management skills, critical thinking, and decision-making ability.
