The Data Governance team in the Commercial Systems unit aims to enable secure and well-governed access to comprehensive data sets from various internal and external sources formed in a data mesh.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define, monitor, and execute data governance policies.
- Design, implement, and maintain tooling for automated data mesh operations.
- Deploy and operate services developed by the team.
- Depending on seniority, coach and mentor team members, offering career development feedback.
- Develop and promote effective engineering and organizational practices.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional academic record from high school and university.
- Undergraduate degree in a technical field or a compelling alternative career path narrative.
- Track record of exceeding expectations and achieving outstanding results.
- Experience with data quality, governance, and security processes and tools.
- Proficient in software development using Python and SQL.
- Professional written and spoken English, with excellent presentation skills.
- Results-oriented with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events lasting up to two weeks.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Performance engineering and security experience.
- Familiarity with Airbyte, Ranger, Superset, Temporal, or Trino.
