Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, create, test, and implement complex models and algorithms for analytical solutions across the organization.
  • Conduct advanced statistical analyses to provide actionable insights and measure performance.
  • Collaborate with translators to understand business problems and implement scalable solutions.
  • Coordinate with Data Engineers to deliver holistic analytical solutions.
  • Support communication about the design and functionality of analytical models.
  • Ensure timely analysis and maintenance of solutions.
  • Lead cross-functional projects leveraging data modeling and analysis techniques.
  • Build and maintain data models, reporting systems, dashboards, and performance metrics.
  • Teach data science courses as part of the advanced analytics academy.
  • Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum Qualifications:

    • BSc or preferably MS/PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
    • Proficiency in programming languages: Python, R, Java, and SQL.
  • Minimum Experience:

    • 5+ years of relevant experience in data science or business intelligence roles.
    • Domain knowledge in the metal and mining industry, energy, heavy industry, or oil and gas.
    • Experience with large datasets, machine learning, optimization, and statistical analysis techniques.
    • Familiarity with stakeholder data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
    • Knowledge of additional programming languages (C++, SPSS, SAS, etc.) and distributed computing tools (Hadoop, Spark, etc.) is a plus.

Language Requirements:

  • Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is a bonus.
