We seek a driven and detail-oriented Lead DevOps Engineer to enhance and manage our modern infrastructure operations. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in IaC infrastructure such as code, container orchestration, and CICD, and experience in open-source tools, with experience in managing any cloud provider's technologies, preferably Oracle. This role involves collaborating with cross-engineering teams to innovate and support scalable and efficient deployment solutions.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain container orchestration systems using Kubernetes, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Manage continuous deployment pipelines for rollouts and updates using ArgoCD, integrating with development workflows for seamless automation.
- Develop and maintain scalable monitoring solutions using Prometheus, Loki, and Grafana. Ensure all critical systems are monitored with real-time alerts and analytics to respond to incidents swiftly.
- Engage with open-source tools and communities to stay ahead of the latest industry trends and technologies, and contribute back to open-source projects where applicable.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve issues in staging and production environments.
- Implement security best practices and maintain compliance with industry standards across all operational platforms.
- Document all procedures and workflows, ensuring that best practices are followed within the team.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps, systems administration, or software development with a strong focus on automation and deployment.
- Proficient with Kubernetes and Docker for containerization and orchestration.
- Experience with CI/CD tools, particularly ArgoCD, and understanding of GitOps principles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Familiarity with managing and deploying open-source solutions and participating in open-source communities.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues systematically.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across various teams.
