Lead Experience Designer

About the Role
Join a dynamic and fast-growing team as a Lead Experience Designer, where you will be the creative force behind the definition and delivery of innovative AI-powered products and experiences. Working within small, fast-paced multidisciplinary pods, you will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Data/AI Specialists, and engineers to lead end-to-end design from initial concept through to shipped products. This role combines hands-on interaction design, strategic client advisory, and foundational practice-building. You will shape the behavior, appearance, and user experience of agentic AI systems while helping establish and scale local design capabilities and client relationships in KSA and the UAE.

Job Responsibilities

• End-to-End Design Ownership: Lead experience design across all engagement phases, facilitating discovery workshops, mapping complex user journeys, creating mid-to-high fidelity visualizations, and building interactive prototypes.
• AI-Native & Agentic UX: Shape conversational, multi-modal, and autonomous agent flows while applying principles of trust, transparency, and user control.
• AI-Accelerated Practice: Utilize AI tools and platforms (e.g., Figma, UX Pilot, Bolt, Murai, Maze, LLM research tools) to enhance ideation cycles and speed up research while maintaining craft and usability.
• Lean User Research & Testing: Conduct lightweight generative and evaluative research that aligns with rapid sprint cycles, championing accessibility and inclusive design from day one.
• Design Systems & Scalability: Build, evolve, and govern design systems and component libraries in collaboration with engineering to enhance pod velocity and ensure visual consistency.
• Consultative Leadership & Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to client executives, working alongside them to shape user experiences for AI-native products and complex digital transformations, applying a consultative approach in engagements and proposals.
• Practice Building & Culture: Contribute significantly to building local Experience Design capabilities, influencing multidisciplinary teams, and establishing a strong design culture in the Middle East.

Job Qualifications

Technical Skills

• 7+ years of experience in product design with a portfolio showcasing exceptional visual design quality, strong UX reasoning, rapid concept-to-prototype capability, and end-to-end ownership of shipped digital products.
• Proven track record of leading design on large-scale programs and navigating senior stakeholder groups.
• Expertise in user research, journey mapping, wireframing, and rapid prototyping, employing lean techniques to validate desirability, viability, and feasibility.
• Proficient in designing for AI and data-driven products, comfortable with AI-enhanced user experiences and design tools.
• Experience with human-centered design in environments undergoing rapid economic or digital transformation.
• Strong understanding of accessibility, inclusive design, and responsive/adaptive design across various devices and contexts.
• Familiarity with designing conversational interfaces such as AI chat, voice, or multi-modal experiences.

Professional Skills

• Experience in KSA/Middle East design or strong background in developing products for this region.
• Skilled in building relationships with executive stakeholders and facilitating discussions that intersect design, technology, and business strategy.
• Background in consultative selling and senior client leadership, adept at diagnosing client needs and co-creating solutions.
• Strong workshop facilitation skills, capable of running engagement workshops that generate alignment and progress quickly.
• Ability to clearly articulate design rationale to both technical and executive audiences, welcome critique, and connect design choices to business outcomes.
• Committed to contributing to the local design community and advocating the company's design practice in the Middle East.
• Design builder and advisor mindset, eager to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams blending local talent with global expertise.
• Curious and open-minded, ready to challenge established ways of working and contribute to building an early-stage operation in the region.
