Lead Game Designer - Mobile

Steer Studios (formerly known as Savvy Games Studios) is on a mission to create a world-leading game studio in Saudi Arabia, focused on producing high-quality games for international audiences while developing homegrown IP in the gaming sector. As a Lead Game Designer, you will be part of an ambitious team, collaborating with top international gaming talents and driven local professionals. In this leadership role, you will address production and creative challenges, working closely with the Creative/Game Director. Key responsibilities include building design teams, managing projects, and driving innovation in gameplay. You will oversee the creation of engaging characters, rules, settings, and narratives for new games.

Key Responsibilities:

• Stay informed of and integrate the latest player trends.
• Plan, detail, and supervise the work of Game Designers.
• Ensure creation of innovative gameplay aligned with the game's vision.
• Conceptualize and develop game concepts and features.
• Manage the game design documentation and iterative processes.
• Collaborate with artists, developers, and other stakeholders.
• Train and mentor junior game designers.
• Communicate design team capacities and coordinate with production schedules.

Qualifications and Key Skills:

• 6+ years of experience as a game designer with expertise in Mobile and F2P, with multiple titles shipped.
• Strong understanding of the gaming industry, market trends, and target audiences.
• In-depth knowledge of KPIs and experience driving game design around them.
• Proficiency in game prototyping and experience with Unity or Unreal engines.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to create clear, concise documentation.
• Attention to technical and artistic detail, coupled with problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or College diploma in game design or equivalent is preferred.

Language Requirements:
Proficiency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
