As a Lead Golang Software Engineer, you will work on several product teams, each focusing on different key areas:
- Billing Team: Develop and operate a Golang service to enable standardized and scalable billing processes.
- Contracts Team: Create a service that acts as the single source of truth for all customer contracts, facilitating integration with other business systems.
- Livepatch Team: Work on delivering critical Linux kernel patches, focusing on security and engineering quality.
- Ubuntu Pro Backend Team: Develop backend services for delivering comprehensive subscription services for open-source software security.
Responsibilities:
- Develop engineering solutions leveraging Golang.
- Lead technical designs, code reviews, and implementations.
- Deploy and operate services developed by the team.
- Coach and mentor colleagues, providing career development feedback.
- Promote strong engineering and organizational practices.
Requirements:
- Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university (undergraduate degree in a technical subject preferred).
- Proven experience in software development using Golang.
- Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills.
- Result-oriented with a strong personal drive to meet commitments.
Language Requirements:
- Proficient in professional English (both written and spoken).
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience in performance engineering and security.
- Background in accounting, sales, sales operations, or related business roles.
