The selected candidate will be required to travel offshore as needed to conduct site surveys, support structural assessments and reassessments, verify existing offshore facilities, review as-built conditions, and obtain project-specific engineering data necessary for brownfield modifications, strengthening, life-extension, and execution support.
Job Purpose
- Lead offshore structural engineering delivery for fixed offshore assets across Concept Select, FEED, Detailed Engineering, EPC, and brownfield modification phases.
- Act as discipline focal point for structural assessment, reassessment, modification, strengthening, life-extension, checking, approval, and technical assurance.
- Ensure safe, compliant, and constructible engineering solutions through effective discipline planning, multidisciplinary coordination, and workshare management.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage discipline execution plans, structural design basis, philosophies, deliverable registers, checking/approval matrices, and engineering work-hour estimates.
- Lead offshore structural engineering deliverables for fixed platforms, jackets, topsides, bridges, flare structures, supports, and brownfield modifications.
- Define analysis approach, review assumptions, verify results, and approve structural calculations, reports, specifications, drawings, and technical deliverables.
- Develop engineering solutions for brownfield anomalies, corrosion, damage, previous modifications, strengthening, repair, replacement, and remaining-life issues.
- Plan and support offshore/site visits for data collection, field verification, condition assessment, as-built verification, and structural survey reporting.
- Coordinate metocean, geotechnical, weight-control, survey, inspection, fabrication, installation, constructability, operations, and multidisciplinary inputs.
