The role is within the Commercial Systems unit, which consists of seven engineering teams working closely with other engineering and business teams at Canonical. The Integrations team, a part of this unit, is responsible for automating SAAS user management and onboarding new data sources to the data mesh. They design, develop, and operate Python-based solutions to automate SAAS seat management and track expenditures across the application portfolio. Additionally, the team integrates internal and external data sources using open-source ETL solutions to enable data-driven decisions within the organization.
Location: Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia (Remote)
Work Conditions: Full-time, Remote (with potential international travel twice a year for company events up to two weeks long)

- Develop engineering solutions leveraging Python

Requirements:
- Exceptional academic record from both high school and university
- Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or a compelling narrative about an alternative path
- Proven experience in software development with Python
- Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills
- Result-oriented with a personal drive to meet commitments
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Performance engineering and security experience
- Experience with Airbyte, Ranger, Temporal, or Trino
