In this role, you will design, develop, and implement quality engineering practices and processes for a team within an agile release train in accordance with quality standards and best practice guidelines. You will ensure the adoption of modern delivery practices for quality products and services built using world-class engineering practices.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with project members, technical product owners, architects, and software engineers to understand delivery contexts.
- Translate complex functional and non-functional requirements into robust end-to-end tests that exercise business processes.
- Liaise with other release train teams to manage testing of cross dependencies.
- Ensure Test Tools are configured correctly to support metrics collection for dashboards.
- Support Software Engineers in writing and maintaining automated functional tests through continuous integration.
- Implement, maintain, and adapt automation frameworks and test harnesses to enhance test robustness.
- Ensure Quality Gate requirements are understood and met by the team.
- Support major delivery initiatives across multiple domains and environments with no customer impact.
- Facilitate team development and understanding of technologies and processes.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or relevant experience.
- Experience creating and maintaining large-scale test data frameworks for test automation.
- 3+ years of experience using automation tools such as Selenium, Protractor, Cucumber, and TestNG.
- Proficiency in at least two programming languages, preferably JavaScript and Java.
- Expertise in developing automation frameworks for UI and API testing integrated with CI pipelines.
- Familiarity with CI tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps or equivalent.
- Strong expertise in context-driven and exploratory testing.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with VMs and containers on-prem and in cloud environments like AWS and Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of testing and technology trends to enhance practices.
- Experience with CRM platforms, especially Salesforce, and related automation tasks.
