Lead Security Engineer

In this role, you will provide software security test quality assurance support to software development teams. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that software scrum teams adhere to the defined software security development lifecycle process, maintaining compliance with related regulations and industry standards. As a member of the software test & QA department, you will implement continuous improvements to the software security process, monitor the health of implemented software systems, and guide scrum teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement, test, and operate advanced software security techniques in compliance with technical reference architecture.
• Conduct ongoing software security penetration tests and code review activities to enhance software security and identify vulnerabilities in IoT consumer products.
• Define pen-test methodologies using both automated and manual tools.
• Collaborate with the organization to establish desired security levels and review requirements for test building.
• Develop automated systems for continuous testing and nightly build analysis.
• Contribute to designing, developing, implementing, and integrating Offensive Cyber Operations tools against various platforms, payloads, and systems.
• Proactively identify security risks and provide engineering designs for new software solutions to mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Work within a SAFe Agile team across a global organization.
• Consult with team members on secure coding practices.
• Stay updated on new tools and best practices.

Qualifications, Skills, and Behaviors:

• Experience in cybersecurity, including penetration testing, security posture assessment, cloud security, IoT security, vulnerability analysis, and risk assessment.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting or coding language (e.g., Python, C, C++).
• In-depth knowledge of wireless protocols, including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
• Familiarity with Security concepts for IoT, Linux, and RTOS Operating Systems.
• Competence with Test Management Systems (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Stash, Git, Bamboo).
• More than 3 years of relevant experience in software quality or test.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., ISO, IEC, FDA standards) and with Agile software development in a DevOps context.
• Excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
