Lead Software Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Software Technical Leader to oversee the architecture, design, and development of complex embedded software systems throughout the full engineering lifecycle, particularly within the Defense & Aerospace sector. This Senior Technical role combines hands-on software development with software architecture, technical leadership, and mentoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define software architecture and software development strategy.
• Lead the software technical direction across multiple engineering projects.
• Translate system requirements into software architecture and implementation plans.
• Drive software integration, verification, and validation activities.
• Lead technical design reviews and mentor software engineers.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the complete development lifecycle.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Strong expertise in C++ (Python is highly desirable).
• Proven experience in software architecture and system-level software design.
• Experience leading software development teams or acting as the technical authority on complex software projects.
• Strong background in embedded, real-time, or mission-critical software.
• Experience with software integration, requirements engineering, and software verification & validation.
• Previous experience within Defense, Aerospace, Electro-Optics, Robotics, Industrial Automation, Medical Devices, or another complex engineering environment.
