Lead Software Engineer

We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer with a strong background in software engineering to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 4 years hands-on experience in Flowable (or similar BPM solutions like Activiti or Camunda) and a commitment to migrating to Flowable BPM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver end-to-end Business Process Management (BPM) solutions in production, including modeling, embedding, deploying, and operating process engines at scale.
• Develop robust applications using Java 17+, Spring Boot 3.x, and REST/OpenAPI.
• Engage with technologies including Kafka Events, GitHub Actions, Maven/Gradle, and Prometheus/Grafana.
• Handle sensitive banking PII, using OAuth2/OIDC standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 6+ years in software engineering with 4+ years specifically using Flowable (or similar BPM tools).
• Proven ability to develop in Java and Spring Boot independently, capable of implementing delegates, REST clients, and tests without backend engineer support.
• Experience in the banking, fintech, insurance, or other regulated financial services domain is highly preferred.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Experience in an Offshore Development Center or a distributed engineering model is an advantage.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with Flowable Work (low-code process app platform) and Flowable Engage.
• Knowledge of SWIFT messaging standards (MT/MX) relevant to trade finance.
• Experience in intelligent process automation integrating ML inference or LLM-based agents.
• Understanding of CBUAE Open Banking API framework compliance implications.
