As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the Hollow Out 1 Payments delivery, extracting the Bank's Payments business capability from T24 into a standalone BIAN-aligned Domain Service. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Defining and owning the Hollow Out 1 delivery plan, which encompasses requirements design, T24 API connectivity, domain service build, integration testing, and go-live activities.
- Engaging with Bank Payments business leadership, operations, and technology teams to outline the Payments domain service's scope and boundaries.
- Creating the BIAN service domain mapping for Payments and identifying applicable service domains such as Payment Initiation, Payment Execution, and Payment Order.
- Overseeing the design of T24 R26 connectivity for the Payments domain service, including IRIS API usage, TPH integration, and event streaming from T24.
- Managing the technical team, including Transact Technical SMEs and API Developers, to deliver Hollow Out 1.
- Coordinating with the Domain Services Lead on shared orchestration infrastructure, API gateway configuration, and event streaming design.
- Conducting decommissioning analysis for Payments-related T24 modules and channels that will be replaced by the domain service.
- Defining cutover strategies for switching Payment processing from T24-native to the Domain Service, including fallback and rollback procedures.
- Managing integration testing that encompasses end-to-end payment journeys across channels, including T24, TPH, and the new Domain Service.
- Presenting delivery progress, decisions, and risks to the programme SteerCo and Bank Payments leadership.
- Driving payment operations readiness activities, including training, process documentation, and go-live support planning.

Required Skills:
- 12 years of experience in core banking or payments technology, with a minimum of 5 years in delivery leadership.
- Deep knowledge of Temenos TPH, Temenos Payments Hub, and T24 Payments architecture.
- Strong understanding of BIAN Payments service domains and ISO 20022 payment messaging standards.
- Experience with SWIFT MX, SEPA, and UAE payment network integration (UAEFTS, direct debit).
- Knowledge of API-first payments architecture and microservice-based payment processing.
- Proven ability to lead complex business capability extraction programs in banking environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
