Lead Specialist, Autonomous Platforms

The Lead Specialist, Autonomous Platforms will lead specialized technical solutions within Sustainability & Resource Growth, focusing on the design, development, and deployment of autonomous platforms that enhance operational efficiency, safety, and innovation. The role manages complex initiatives, ensures scalability and reliability of autonomous systems, and enables business value through advanced technologies and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead the design of autonomous platform architectures, including integration of robotics, IoT, AI, and control systems.
• Guide multidisciplinary delivery teams (engineering, data/AI, operations) to ensure correct and effective implementation of autonomous platforms and systems.
• Ensure high performance, reliability, and resilience of autonomous systems by defining monitoring frameworks, operational performance benchmarks, and KPIs.
• Collaborate with Innovation, Operations, Engineering, and Data & AI teams to translate business and operational requirements into technical autonomous platform solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement of autonomous platform capabilities, tools, and methodologies while identifying and assessing emerging technologies such as AI-driven automation.

Minimum Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies

• 8–10 years of experience in autonomous systems, robotics, industrial automation, or advanced technology environments.
• Proven experience designing or implementing autonomous or semi-autonomous platforms.
• 5–8 years of experience in database development, data engineering, or analytics environments.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of autonomous systems, robotics, control systems, and industrial automation.
• Experience with AI/ML, computer vision, and sensor technologies used in autonomous platforms.
• Understanding of OT/IT integration, IoT architectures, and edge computing platforms.
