Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the digital technology team to identify and evaluate AI and machine learning use cases for enhancing process efficiency and reducing reliance on conventional technologies.
- Lead the development and implementation of novel data science and AI applications, including AI advisory modeling, machine learning algorithms, and AI-based ESG and safety dashboards.
- Conduct technical research to explore potential AI and machine learning applications and stay updated with emerging trends and advancements in the field.
- Lead the development of testing and validation protocols to ensure successful implementation of new AI technologies.
- Collaborate with the technology team to establish best practices, standards, policies, and procedures for the adoption of novel AI and data science applications.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and advancements in data science and artificial intelligence and share knowledge with the team.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including technology partners, vendors, and industry experts.
- Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring they understand the benefits and implications.
- Organize and lead regular meetings with stakeholders and team members to discuss AI and machine learning projects, gather feedback, and address any concerns.
- Continuously look for ways to optimize processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Demonstrate best practices in project management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in data science and AI or machine learning technologies, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of mining processes with a focus on efficiency improvements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a cross-functional, strongly matrixed environment.
- Critical thinking capabilities with analytical skills and action orientation.
