About the Job:
As a Lead Storage Backup Engineer at DXC Technology, you will be responsible for leading a team of storage and backup administrators. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing guidance and mentorship to your team while setting goals and monitoring progress to ensure alignment with overall team objectives.
- Collaborating with global IT teams to support project work and engaging with management and stakeholders to develop and manage support and operational objectives.
- Developing a multi-year roadmap to address future service management needs and achieving various performance, budget, and team goals.
- Generating custom reports and documentation, as well as maintaining a strong understanding of storage technologies including SAN, NAS, and cloud storage.
- Overseeing the installation and implementation of storage systems and hyper-converged infrastructure from vendors like Dell, IBM, and HPE, and deploying virtualization environments.
- Managing data storage systems to ensure data availability, integrity, and security, as well as monitoring backup solutions for logging and alerting.
- Working closely with other IT teams to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval and supporting day-to-day data center operations including maintenance tasks.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Typically, 6+ years of relevant work experience, including a minimum of 2+ years in a similar role.
- Proven experience in infrastructure technology management and technical knowledge.
- Strong teamwork and continuous learning mindset to stay updated on industry knowledge and technology.
Other Qualifications:
- An advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of Dell PowerMax, ScaleIO, Isilon, Dell Data Protection, and Data Domain.
- Relevant storage and backup or infrastructure certifications are advantageous, including CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or Certified Cloud Practitioner.
