Lead Storage Backup Engineer

As a Lead Storage Backup Engineer, you will lead a team of storage and backup administrators, providing guidance and mentorship. Your responsibilities will include setting goals, monitoring progress, and ensuring that the team meets overall objectives. You will collaborate with global IT teams and engage with management and key stakeholders to develop and manage support and operational objectives.

Essential Job Functions:

• Lead a team of Storage and Backup Administrators.
• Support and maintain data center infrastructure.
• Manage and operate backup solutions, ensuring data availability, integrity, and security.
• Collaborate with IT teams for efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including Low-Level Design (LLD) and As-Built documentation.
• Ensure backup solutions are properly configured and monitor backup schedules.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 6+ years of relevant work experience, including at least 2 years in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, cloud storage), operating systems, networking concepts, and backup solutions.

Other Qualifications:

• Relevant storage and backup or infrastructure certifications are a strong advantage.
• Candidates must have strong working knowledge of Dell PowerMax, ScaleIO, Isilon, and Dell Data Protection products.

Language Requirements:
Proficiency in English is required. Additional language skills may be beneficial.
