About the Job: Lead a team of Storage and backup administrators, providing guidance and mentorship. Set goals, monitor progress, and ensure the team meets overarching objectives. Collaborate with individuals within the team and other global IT teams to complete project work. Engage with management and key stakeholders to develop, implement, and manage support and operational objectives. Identify and incorporate future service management needs into a well-considered multi-year roadmap across support areas. Support achievement of performance goals, budget goals, and team goals. Build organizational capacity necessary to execute strategy. Generate custom reports/dashboard and maintain Knowledgebase documentation. Have a strong understanding of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, cloud storage), operating systems, networking concepts, and backup solutions. Perform installation and implementation of storage systems and hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) from vendors like Dell, IBM, and HPE. Assist in the deployment and configuration of virtualization environments. Manage and maintain the organization's data storage systems, ensuring data availability, integrity, and security. Ensure all backup solutions have logging, alerting, and notifications enabled/configured. Work with other IT teams (network, database, application) to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval. Manage backup solutions including job creation, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting. Collaborate with senior engineers to support and maintain data center infrastructure. Create and maintain technical documentation, including Low-Level Design (LLD) and As-Built documentation. Support day-to-day data center operations, including equipment racking, cabling, and hardware maintenance. Ensure backup solution Disaster Readiness, availability, and functionality in disaster recovery situations. Define backup policies, recovery objectives, and schedules with application stakeholders. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Typically, 6+ years of relevant work experience in the industry, with a minimum of 2+ years in a similar role. Proven experience in infrastructure technology management. Proficient technical knowledge and teamwork skills. A continuous learner who stays updated with industry knowledge and technology. Other Qualifications: An advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus. Strong working knowledge of Dell PowerMax, ScaleIO, Isilon, Dell Data Protection, Data Domain (including CRS). Relevant storage and backup or infrastructure certifications are a strong advantage. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or Certified Cloud Practitioner are a plus.
