Position

The Learning Area Manager is an active member of the Fulfillment Center Operations Learning team, driving and supporting network-wide initiatives. Successful candidates will have a creative, hands-on approach to execute day-to-day actions ensuring daily and weekly compliance is met with data-driven, analytical thinking skills. This role requires effective presentation and persuasion skills, and the ability to influence without authority. It will partner closely with Operations and requires an understanding of warehouse process operations. Execution skills are essential to deliver daily coaching to support the development of warehouse associates.

Responsibilities

  • Actively manage a team of Learning Associates, including their deployment, development, and productivity.
  • Ensure that the work of the team and individuals aligns with internal customer needs.
  • Act as a proactive liaison with the corporate department to positively impact key business metrics such as safety, quality, productivity, and customer experience.
  • Foster the development and growth of the company employees through mentoring and training programs.
  • Facilitate orientation and training classes, communicating policies and procedures to managers and new employees as needed.
  • Ensure the Learning Department creates and updates accurate training materials and aids.
  • React quickly and efficiently to production imperatives and scheduling conflicts.
  • Ensure best practices standardization across all departments and sites.
  • Administer methods for gathering and tracking training metrics.
  • Analyze data to suggest improvements for training and operations.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring safe operation of the First, Middle, and Last Mile Transportation.

Basic Qualifications

  • A completed Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience delivering training and information to peers, hourly associates, and management.
  • Experience working with hourly employees as well as exempt personnel.
  • Experience coaching and delivering performance-related messages.
  • Experience developing and implementing goals based on broader organizational goals.
  • Experience interpreting data analytics.
  • Proficiency in computer usage, including email and MS Office Suite.
