We are looking for a talented and hands-on Level Designer to join our team and enhance the success of our hybrid casual mobile titles. In this role, you will work closely with a team of passionate developers, data analysts, UX designers, and game designers to elevate both the product and the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the level design creation and pipeline: Own and manage the full lifecycle of level creation—from concept to live operations—for a mobile puzzle title.
- Design high-quality levels that are engaging and tuned to meet difficulty curves, player retention goals, and monetization strategies.
- Collaborate with design, product, and data teams to implement and test new mechanics, iterate on level content, and integrate player feedback.
- Balance creativity and analytics, using A/B tests and player behavior data to optimize level content.
- Mentor a small team of junior/mid-level designers in the art of Level Design while contributing to the long-term strategy of the product.
- Ensure that tools, pipelines, and documentation are in place and evolving to support efficient level production and iteration.
Qualifications and Key Skills:
- Proven track record in working on successful puzzle games on mobile (match-3, tile-blast, physics puzzles, or similar).
- Deep understanding of puzzle game mechanics, player psychology, level pacing, difficulty curves, and engagement loops.
- Experience in at least 1 full production cycle (from pre-production to live operation).
- Strong understanding of KPIs, monetization mechanics, and ability to guide level design based on data findings.
- Hands-on mindset with experience in Unity and proficiency in Excel for maintaining game design configurations.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Extensive knowledge of Game Design principles and the mobile gaming landscape.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and intuitive development abilities.
- Passionate gamer with an eye for detail and understanding of the industry, market, and target audiences.
- A Bachelor’s degree or College diploma in game design or equivalent is preferred.
