About the Role
This position provides technical support to both internal and external customers throughout the entire product lifecycle, including manufacturing, testing, and final installation at the end-user location, along with after-sales service technical support. The role involves research, planning, coordination, and proposing original designs for mechanical products and systems, as well as employing extensive knowledge of engineering theory, mathematics, and practical mechanics to address design and production challenges.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical point of contact for internal and external customers to support ongoing projects and operations.
- Accurately dispose of Quality Notifications (QNs) and oversee rework/refurbishment/remanufacturing activities.
- Create procedures and work instructions for mobilization, demobilization, maintenance, refurbishment, and repair activities.
- Create, check, and review Engineering documentation through the Engineering Change Notice (ECN) process.
- Prepare all levels of engineering calculations for design reviews.
- Prepare and present complex ideas, design concepts, and improvement proposals for technical discussions involving both internal and external clients/suppliers.
- Engage in discussions with clients to understand their needs, manage expectations, troubleshoot issues, and produce technical solutions that meet project requirements.
- Prepare, plan, and participate in System Integration Testing (SITs).
- Apply analytical and problem-solving skills under pressure to provide real-time technical support in response to manufacturing issues.
- Lead design staff on a project basis in analyzing design alternatives, suggesting design options, and preparing layouts that illustrate customer needs.
- Establish deadlines and manage priorities for oneself and others.
- Provide connectivity to other service hubs and regional engineering groups to share knowledge, experience, and best practices.
- Offer support and expertise in local Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) activities, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Hazards and Operability Studies (HAZOPs), and Risk Assessments.
- Adhere to all company rules and procedures regarding Engineering, Quality, Environment, Health, and Safety.
You Are Meant for This Job If:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/FORMAL EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Preferred 3 years of experience in the Oil and Gas Industry as an Engineer in roles such as Design Engineer, Wellhead and Christmas Tree Engineer, System Engineer, Project Engineer, Choke & Valve Engineer, or Production Systems Engineer focusing on Surface equipment.
- Knowledge and understanding of drilling operations, particularly related to Surface wellhead equipment.
- Familiarity with industry standards and design guidelines such as API 6A, API 17D, NACE MR0175, etc.
- Knowledge of design, manufacturing, and refurbishment processes, along with an understanding of economic factors like cost, profit, and the implications of decisions.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Preferred 3 years of experience in the Oil and Gas Industry as an Engineer in roles including Design Engineer, Wellhead and Christmas Tree Engineer, System Engineer, Project Engineer, Choke & Valve Engineer, or Production Systems Engineer focusing on Surface equipment.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATE(S):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

- Highly self-motivated with strong communication skills.
- Ability to contribute to technical discussions involving multiple functions across the business.
- Capability to guide and support others within the engineering team.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS AND/OR PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS:
- Ability to perform high-level engineering calculations according to applicable engineering design guidelines.
- Experienced in relevant engineering and project management tools including CAD (Unigraphics/NX), Mathcad, TCE, SAP, and MS Office.
- Capable of conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) utilizing industry-standard methodologies.
