About the Role
As a Lifeguard, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of guests at our swimming pool areas. Your main focus will be to enforce health, safety, and fire prevention policies while being vigilant and attentive to the needs of guests. You will undertake training to enhance lifesaving techniques and develop staff swimming abilities, stamina, and water awareness, ensuring compliance with all operational standards and procedures.

Responsibilities
- Ensure safe daily operations within swimming pool areas.
- Monitor compliance with health, safety, and fire prevention policies and procedures.
- Train staff in lifesaving techniques and swimming skills, focusing on development and water awareness.
- Respond immediately to guest needs and report serious situations to the Lifeguard team leader or Security Supervisor.
- Follow the Lost and Found procedure strictly.
- Maintain proper grooming standards at all times.
- Attend scheduled training classes.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
- Stay informed about daily activities and possess knowledge of hotel facilities.
- Implement duties in alignment with Quality standards, Security, Health & Safety requirements, and applicable legislation.
- Report variances in pool water chemical control or clarity to the Recreation Supervisor/Manager and Engineering Department.
- Maintain consistent pool temperature within set parameters.
- Inform the Lifeguard Supervisor or Security Supervisor of any valuables left in the open and handle such situations according to standard procedures.
- Adhere to the Employee Handbook, Disciplinary Code, and Rules and Regulations.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Security Manager.
Qualifications
- Valid and approved Lifeguard Certification.
- Current certifications in CPR, AED, and First Aid.
- Strong swimming ability with excellent endurance and speed.
- Previous lifeguard experience preferred, ideally in a hotel, beach, swimming pool, or waterpark environment.
- High level of alertness, vigilance, and responsibility.
- Strong observation and emergency response skills.
