About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Supervisor – Lifting to plan, supervise, and execute safe lifting operations, including critical lifts. In this role, you will lead lifting teams and ensure compliance with project Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare lifting plans and supervise routine and critical lifting operations.
  • Act as the competent Appointed Person for lifting activities within the approved scope.
  • Lead Crane Operators, Riggers, and Banksmen, ensuring safe lifting practices.
  • Verify crane suitability, lifting equipment certification, rigging arrangements, and site readiness before lifting.
  • Coordinate risk assessments, toolbox talks, and lifting activities with construction and HSE teams.
  • Apply relevant international lifting standards and manage changes affecting lifting safety.
  • Maintain lifting documentation and stop operations where unsafe conditions are identified.

Requirements

  • Three-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant oil and gas lifting experience in a similar position, covering applicable onshore/offshore operations.
  • Proven ability to prepare lifting plans and supervise critical lifts.
  • Relevant training and practical competence to perform Appointed Person duties.
  • Completion of the four-day Appointed Person course through an approved training company, using an approved tutor, with reassessment every three years.
  • Training and assessment appropriate to the crane type and operating environment; offshore and mobile crane Appointed Person courses are distinct.
  • Strong knowledge of lifting engineering standards, HSE requirements, and team supervision.
