Responsibilities:
- Architect and manage Linux systems (RHEL, CentOS, SUSE).
- Design and manage AIX servers in pSeries architecture, including LPARs, VIO servers, and PowerVM environments.
- Automate OS deployments, patching, and configuration using tools like Ansible and SaltStack.
- Integrate Unix systems with security controls and monitoring tools for compliance.
- Analyze performance bottlenecks and provide solutions through root cause analysis.
- Support disaster recovery readiness and participate in high-availability testing.
- Provide technical support for infrastructure services and respond to issues.
- Contribute to the implementation of infrastructure projects.
- Develop infrastructure documentation, including incident logs and configuration records.
Required Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of Linux OS internals and kernel tuning.
- Expertise in AIX OS, PowerHA, PowerVM, NIM, and VIO servers.
- Experience with virtualization (KVM, VMware) and hybrid infrastructure.
- Proficiency in BASH scripting and Ansible automation.
- Familiarity with CIS hardening, log forwarding, and SIEM integration.
- Knowledge of security compliance standards and OS-level auditing.
- Experience with automation tools like Ansible or Puppet.
- Understanding of centralized management tools (RedHat Satellite/SUSE Manager).
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Typically, 10+ years of relevant work experience, with a minimum of 6 years in a similar role.
- Proven experience in infrastructure technology analysis.
- Proficiencies in data analysis and technical knowledge.
Other Qualifications:
- An advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus.
- Relevant certifications, such as Linux/AIX Certifications.
- Familiarity with OpenShift/Kubernetes.
