Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for employees from a remote home office.
- Take ownership of new cases via telephone, email, and web.
- Ensure each support case is handled according to Service Level Agreements (SLA) with high customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to and maintain knowledge base articles for shared knowledge.
- Prioritize work tasks and engage in continuous learning as products evolve.
- Participate in a regular weekend working rotation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Computer Science, MIS, Electrical Engineering, etc.) or equivalent experience.
- Experience with system performance troubleshooting and Linux troubleshooting.
- Ability to integrate Linux with other environments (authentication/directory services, network file systems).
- Programming fundamentals in one or more languages (bash, python, Perl, Ruby, Javascript, C, C++, Go).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.
Additional Skills:
- Experience with virtualized environments (KVM, Virtual Box, VMWare).
- Contributions to open-source projects, forums, or code.
- Familiarity with Linux Kernel.
