The company is seeking a Linux Devices Software Engineer to join our engineering teams working on low-level system technology for autonomous devices. We are looking for detail-oriented engineers who thrive on the challenges presented by developing memory, performance, battery, and connectivity constrained code, ensuring it functions reliably in various environments on x86, ARM, or RISC-V silicon.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Developing software for Ubuntu Core and snapd.
  • Optimizing silicon software and kernel drivers for various hardware.
  • Engaging with the broader open-source community.
  • Writing high-quality software and contributing to technical documentation.
  • Collaborating with globally distributed teams and contributing to the development of device OS images.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Exceptional academic track record; degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
  • Experience with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred).
  • Fluency in at least one of Golang, C, C++, or Rust.
  • Professional written and spoken English is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability are essential.

Additional Skills That You Might Bring:

  • Familiarity with Debian/Ubuntu packaging and build systems.
  • Knowledge of firmware, power management, and computer architecture.
  • Experience in electrical engineering design tools.
