We are seeking a skilled Linux & Virtualization Engineer to manage Linux servers, virtualization platforms, cloud infrastructure, containerized applications, storage, and backup solutions while ensuring system security, performance, and availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage virtualization platforms, including VMware, OpenStack, and Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization.
- Install, configure, upgrade, patch, secure, and troubleshoot Linux servers.
- Configure and maintain TCP/IP, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, NTP, and LAMP environments, including SSL.
- Manage NFS, CIFS, and SMB permissions, server provisioning, system monitoring, and resource availability.
- Maintain Kubernetes clusters, containerized applications, orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor system and application logs, manage antivirus solutions, and automate tasks using Bash, Perl, Ruby, and Python.
- Support Java applications and middleware, including Tomcat and JBoss.
- Administer Commvault backup and recovery solutions.
- Manage Oracle and MS SQL databases, and enterprise storage technologies, including Pure Storage, IBM SAN, and Oracle ZFS.
- Perform hardware upgrades, performance tuning, resource optimization, and technical documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in Linux system administration and virtualization technologies.
- Knowledge of OpenStack, OpenShift, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
- Strong understanding of networking, server security, storage, and backup management.
- Proficiency in scripting, troubleshooting, and system monitoring.
- Familiarity with databases, application servers, and CI/CD processes.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and teamwork skills.
Candidates should be based in United Arab Emirates.
