In this position, you will be responsible for architecting and leading operations for infrastructure services. Key responsibilities include:
- Architecting and managing Linux systems (RHEL, CentOS, SUSE) for critical infrastructure.
- Designing and managing AIX servers in pSeries architecture, including LPARs, VIO servers, and PowerVM environments.
- Automating OS deployments, patching, and configuration using tools like Ansible and SaltStack.
- Integrating Unix systems with security controls to ensure compliance with security standards.
- Analyzing performance bottlenecks and conducting root cause analysis for Linux/AIX systems.
- Supporting disaster recovery readiness and high-availability testing.
- Providing technical support in infrastructure services and contributing to the documentation of infrastructure projects.
Required Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of Linux OS internals and kernel tuning.
- Expertise in AIX OS, PowerHA, PowerVM, NIM, and VIO servers.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (KVM, VMware) and hybrid infrastructure.
- Knowledge of security compliance standards and OS-level auditing.
- Proficiency with automation tools such as Ansible and Puppet.
- Familiarity with centralized management tools (RedHat Satellite/SUSE Manager) and patch management.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Typically, 6+ years of relevant work experience in the industry, including a minimum of 2+ years in a similar role.
- Proven experience in infrastructure technology analysis and data analysis.
Other Qualifications:
- An advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus.
- Relevant certifications in Linux/AIX are desirable.
